Scouts Rock at Graceland

Each year, Graceland welcomes hundreds of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who travel to Memphis from all over the country to enjoy a day full of learning, creating and rock 'n' rolling at Scouts Rock at Graceland.

Our next Scouts Rock at Graceland event is scheduled for April 2, 2022! More details to come soon!

During Scouts Rock at Graceland, Scouts learn new skills and earn achievements toward ranks or pin/belt loop/merit badge requirements in the following:

  • Service Opportunities
  • Collections
  • Citizenship
  • American Heritage
  • Journalism
  • Forestry
  • Photography

Local businesses and organizations also come on-site to share information with Scouts. More information about confirmed vendors will be announced closer to the date, but past vendors have included: 901 FC, Elvis Presley Birthplace, American Red Cross - Mid-South Chapter, Memphis & Shelby County Humane Society, Tennessee Wildlife Agency, Memphis Zoo, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Memphis Tourism, Memphis Police Department - TACT, Crash Car Simulator, Recruitment, Police Explorers, Shelby County Emergency Management/Homeland Security Office, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee State Parks, among others.

In 2018, hundreds of boys and girls from troops across the United States toured Elvis Presley's Graceland, worked on service projects and learned about safety, nature, wildlife, music, geology and much more in workshops on location at Graceland. Scouts sang karaoke, learned about how to be a DJ and got up close and personal with animals. They wrote thank-you letters to U.S. troops, made "Blue Suede" Slime and created colorful picture frames.
