Texas Tribute to Elvis Festival Kicks Off Next Week

May 19, 2017

The second annual Texas Tribute to Elvis Festival will be held in Dallas, Texas, at the legendary Southfork Ranch, next weekend, and will feature many Elvis-themed shows.

The festival, set for May 26-28, includes Texas’ only official preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Tribute artists from all over the world will compete to be crowned Texas’ Tribute to Elvis Champion 2017 and the winner will also qualify to enter the contest semifinals, which are held during Elvis Week in Memphis in August.

Friday’s "Long Live the King" show celebrates Elvis’ musical career. The Saturday event, "Rockin' Across Texas," is a spectacular celebration with some of Elvis' greatest hits and concert classics. "Spirit of the King," taking place on Sunday, is a showcase of Elvis’ gospel music, followed by "Elvis Country” a musical journey through Elvis’ country classics.

Elvis hits from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s will be performed by some of the world’s best Elvis  tribute artists, including the first-ever Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion Shawn Klush;  Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion 2011 Cody Ray Slaughter;  2013 Ultimate Elvis World Champion Dean Z;  and multi award-winning ETAs Ryan Pelton,  Ben Thompson, Ciarán Houlihan, Kraig Parker and Victor Trevino Jr.

Our band for the festival will be the spectacular EAS Band with full Brass Section.
