Monday, August 8

Hard Rock Last Chance Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest – Round 1

7:00 p.m. Hard Rock Cafe, Beale Street. Join the Hard Rock Cafe as they host their annual Last Chance Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest with live ETA performances. The overall winner selected on August 10 will represent Memphis in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Semifinal Round on August 11. Be a part of all of the fun as they perform iconic Elvis hits, from every decade, movie and genre that we all know and love from Elvis Presley. Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Showcase 

3:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Join Ultimate Contest host Joey Sulipeck to see some of the 2016 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest semifinalists perform at the Elvis Week Main Stage and show off why they will be competing for the title of Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2016. Artists performing during this event will be announced at a later time, but all will be 2016 Ultimate ETA Contest semifinalists. Individual tickets are $25. Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Meet 'n' Greet 

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Hard Rock Cafe, 126 Beale Street. Meet and mingle with the 2016 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest semifinalists at a private reception reserved for those who have purchased VIP tickets for the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. The only way to get access to this event is by purchasing the $139 VIP ticket option for the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, which is now sold out.* See Ultimate ETA Contest Semifinal and Final Round listings for ticket details.

Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center Elvis Week Fan Reception

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Elvis Presley Trauma Center, 877 Jefferson Avenue. Celebrate at the Annual Elvis Presley Fan Reception at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis. Light refreshments will be served and tours of the trauma center will be conducted. Included in the tour is a stop by the Elvis Presley Trauma Center donor wall, where hundreds of plaques recognize donors who have supported the trauma center named in honor of the King of Rock 'n' Roll.  Special guest will be bassist Norbert Putnam, who will share his stories of working with Elvis. Enter Regional Health One at the main entrance and greeters will then direct you to the reception. 

 

Designing for the King

1:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Elvis' sense of fashion, style and decor set the trends and defined new styles. Join host Tom Brown for this special event that will explore what it was like to design, dress and decorate for the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Confirmed guests include: Hal Lansky, son of Bernard Lansky and owner of Lansky Bros., a clothing store that helped dress the king as early as 1952; Lowell Hays, jeweler who made 200+ pieces of jewelry for Elvis; and Bill Eubanks, an interior designer who designed several rooms at Graceland for Elvis. Hound Dog Tour: A Musical City Tour Celebrating Elvis by Backbeat Tours

3:00 p.m. Tour departs from Backbeat Tours window at BB King’s Blues Club, located at 143 Beale Street. Join Backbeat Tours for an Elvis tribute tour with a twist! As unique as the man himself, the Hound Dog Tour takes a one-of-a-kind approach to sharing Elvis’ legacy in a high-energy concert and sightseeing tour all rolled into one. Hear all your favorite Elvis hits performed live on Memphis’ only music bus while seeing where he grew up, where he went to school, where he worked, and where he dreamed, as well as sites important to his early career. This special 2-hour tour also includes an optional visit inside the Presley family apartment at Lauderdale Courts – second only to Graceland, the Memphis home where Elvis lived in the longest. Meticulously restored to its 1950s appearance, a visit to Apartment 328 of the Courts is like taking a step back in time, offering an unparalleled glimpse into the lives of Vernon, Gladys, and young Elvis. Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Semifinal Round

7:00 p.m. Orpheum Theatre, Downtown Memphis. Hosted by Joey Sulipeck, see 20 of the best tribute artists in the world perform Elvis tributes as they compete in the Semifinal Round of the 2016 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Enjoy hours of Elvis music and entertainment as these winners compete for their chance to advance to the Final Round on Saturday, August 13. The top 10 Elvis tribute artists moving on to the Final Round of the competition will be announced at the end of the Semifinal Round. Backing band for the semifinalists will be the EAS Band. Two-day tickets are $69 (includes Semifinal and Final Round). The $139 VIP is now sold out. A one-day ticket to the Semifinal Round only is also available for $29. Immediately following Ultimate ETA Contest Semifinal Round. Hard Rock Cafe, 126 Beale Street. After the Ultimate ETA Contest Semifinal Round, walk across the street to enjoy the Jeff Lewis and Friends After-Party at Hard Rock Memphis presented by Tupelo and the Tupelo Elvis Festival. You'll get to enjoy a great show featuring tons of fan favorite entertainers singing Elvis' hits and showcasing some of their other extraordinary musical talents. Hosted by Jeff Lewis, the event will include giveaways, special guests and lots of laughter.


Friday, August 12

Elvis 101 

10:00 a.m.. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Elvis' influence on music, pop culture and society has been studied, analyzed and debated since his music first hit the airwaves in 1954. Elvis 101, with host Tom Brown, features scholars, authors and those who have spent hundreds of hours studying Elvis Presley talking in-depth about different aspects of The King of Rock 'n' Roll's life and career. Confirmed guest speakers include: author Peter Guralnick, talking about his most recent release, "Sam Phillips: The Man Who Invented Rock 'n' Roll;" Dr. Charles Hughes, Director of the Memphis Center at Rhodes College and professor for the course there entitled Elvis Presley and America; and John Jackson and Ernst Jorgensen of Sony Music. Elvis Presley Fan Club Presidents’ Event

2:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Fans are invited to this bi-annual event that celebrates the work of Elvis Presley Fan Clubs around the world. DJ Argo will host, and our special guests will be Charles Stone and Greg McDonald, who both worked closely with the Colonel on Elvis' tours and career. There will also be other event segments that celebrate the life and legacy of Elvis Presley. Fan Club presidents will get an invite and registration form directly from EPE to attend the event. Other individuals may purchase tickets for $20. Tickets for this event are available for purchase at Graceland Guest Services or at the door of the event, pending availability.

The Sound and Soul of Memphis

7:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Celebrate the sounds that made Elvis' hometown famous with a special salute to Memphis music. Performers include Beale Street favorite the Memphis Jones Band; musician Ted Torres Martin; and Memphis musician Brandon Cunning. This celebration will not only feature Elvis songs, but a combination of the rock, blues and soul music that made Memphis famous. Individual tickets are $25. Saturday, August 13

Elvis Presley 5K Run Benefiting Livitup, Inc.

8:00 a.m. The Elvis Presley 5K Run starts and finishes at the Gates of Graceland. After the race, join Livitup, Inc., for a party. There will be food, music and fun! Book Guest House at Graceland Elvis Week 2017 Room Reservations

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Fans in Memphis will be able to make their room reservations for Elvis Week 2017 at The Guest House at Graceland in-person at the Elvis Week Main Stage Tent.  Minimum stay applies, non-refundable deposit required and reservations on a first-come, first served basis. Founders Breakfast and Tour of The Guest House at Graceland

10:30 a.m. Chrome Grille, Graceland Plaza. Founders will enjoy a breakfast and meet ‘n’ greet with Guest House at Graceland staff before boarding a shuttle for an exclusive hard hat tour of The Guest House at Graceland. Elvis Fan Reunion

1:00 p.m.. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Fans have long said that Elvis Week is like a big family reunion - so this year we are doing an Elvis Fan "Family" Reunion to celebrate YOU! Join hosts Tom BrownJoey Sulipeck and DJ Argo for a fun, fan-focused event that will include sharing stories, Elvis trivia, fan photos and video, games and much more. If you met Elvis, share your story with us, and we may ask you to share your story during this event.. Individual tickets are only $10. Youth Karaoke 

1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Graceland Crossing. Children will receive prizes for participating in our karaoke event. Ages for karaoke are 17 and below.

The Auction at Graceland

2:00 p.m. Graceland Archives Studio. The Auction at Graceland will include artifacts from across the spectrum of collecting, including items owned by Elvis, gifted by Elvis, written by Elvis, used by Elvis and created to promote the king and his career. Each and every lot in this auction has been thoroughly researched and certified by Graceland Authenticated, the authority in Elvis and pop culture authentication. Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Final Round

7:00 p.m. Orpheum Theatre, downtown Memphis. Hosted by Joey Sulipeck, enjoy a phenomenal show as the Top 10 Elvis Tribute Artists from the August 11 Semifinal Round compete for the title. The excitement will build throughout the night as the group is narrowed down from ten to five before the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2016 is named. The show will also feature a performance by 2015 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist winner David Lee. Backing band will be EAS Band. 2016 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest winner will receive $20,000 cash, a contract with Legends in Concert and more. Two-day tickets $69 (includes Semifinal and Final Round). The $139 VIP ticket is now sold out. A one-day ticket to the Final Round only is also available for $49. Sock Hop with DJ Argo  

8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Enjoy a rockin' night at the Elvis Week Main Stage with DJ Argo as he spins your favorite Elvis records. The night will feature dancing, games and plenty of giveaways. Individual tickets are $25. Sunday, August 14

Official Graceland Insiders Conference

9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. with lunch break from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Hosted by Tom Brown, the Graceland Insiders conference will feature special segments that highlight various parts of Elvis' life and career with sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes looks, rarely-seen videos, feature segments filmed just for the event and much more. 2016 special guests include: DJ Fontana, Elvis' drummer for 14 years, who started performing with him in 1954; Marilyn Riehl (Evans), Elvis' girlfriend who was there for the famous Million Dollar Quartet session at Sun Studio; David Fleischman, whose band played many of Elvis' New Year's Eve parties; Estelle Brown, one of The Sweet Inspirations who recorded and performed with Elvis; and Ray Walker, member of The Jordanaires, who also recorded and performed with Elvis. There will also be a Sony panel talking about the new "Way Down In The Jungle Room" release, due out August 5 and now available on ShopGraceland.com. Individual tickets are $40. Founders Meet 'n' Greet

4:00 p.m. Archives Studio, Graceland. Founders members will enjoy a meet 'n' greet session with Joel Weinshanker and Jack Soden plus a special preview of new Graceland projects. 

George Klein's Elvis Mafia Reunion

5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Alfred's, 197 Beale Street. George Klein hosts a reunion of people who were close to Elvis. Lifelong friends and associates will reminisce, share stories and answer questions. Event is $45.00 and includes dinner and the show. All proceeds will go to Make-a-Wish and the EP Charity Dinner. Reservations are accepted by calling Alfred's at 901-525-3711. 

Elvis Presley Gospel Concert VIP Reception

6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Elvis Presley Car Museum, Graceland Plaza. Private event reserved for VIP ticket holders for the Gospel Music of Elvis Presley concert on August 14. Must show VIP ticket or All-Access pass at door for access. Event includes light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages plus a cash bar.

The Gospel Music of Elvis Presley

8:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Enjoy a very special evening at the Elvis Week Main Stage to celebrate the gospel music of Elvis Presley. Hear the music that not only influenced Elvis, but that also earned him his only three Grammy Awards. Special guest performers for the evening include some who shared the stage with Elvis, plus those who have been inspired by his music: Bill Baize, Donnie Sumner, Larry Strickland and Ed Hill, former members of JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet; Terry Blackwood, Darrell Toney and Lynn Royce Taylor of Terry Blackwood and The Imperials; plus musicians Andy Childs and Terry Mike Jeffrey. The Show will feature Elvis imagery and videos on the big screen throughout the performance. VIP tickets to this event are now sold out. Non-VIP tickets are available for $50. Jeff Lewis and Friends After-Party at Hard Rock Cafe

Monday, August 15

Conversations on Elvis: Elvis Co-Stars

9:00 a.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Hosted by Tom Brown, this event will feature those who starred alongside Elvis in some of his 30+ films. Confirmed special guests include Warren Berlinger, Elvis' co-star in "Spinout"; Celeste Yarnall, Elvis' co-star in "Live a Little, Love a Little," and Christopher Riordan, who had roles in several Elvis films such as "Viva Las Vegas" and "Clambake." An Afternoon with Elvis' Piano Man, Glen D. Hardin 

2:00 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Join us for a special afternoon event featuring TCB Band member Glen Hardin and musician Andy Childs as they share stories and music. Glen, who performed and played piano for Elvis from 1970 to 1976, has an incredible resume as a musician, songwriter and arranger - and was responsible for a large percentage of Elvis' orchestral arrangements, many of which he would stay up writing overnight because Elvis would decide he wanted to do a new song on a whim. Be there as he shares some of his favorite Elvis stories - and sings along with Andy Childs - some of his favorite songs. Individual tickets are $25. Ronnie McDowell Book Signing 

4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Ronnie McDowell, along with friends DJ Fontana, Ray Walker and George Klein, will be signing copies of Ronnie's autobiography, "Bringing It to You Personally." Books will be for sale during the book signing and you must have a book to enter the autograph line. Only books will be autographed at this signing.

Candlelight Vigil

8:30 p.m. Gates of Graceland. After an opening ceremony at the Gates of Graceland, fans are invited to walk up the driveway to Elvis' gravesite and back down carrying a candle in quiet remembrance. Free admission. No tickets or reservations. Gates remain open until all who wish to participate in the procession have done so, which typically takes until the early morning hours of August 16, the anniversary of Elvis' passing. Free secured parking at the Graceland visitor center complex after 6:00 p.m.


Tuesday, August 16  

Elvis Love Songs

10:00 a.m. Elvis Week Main Stage, Graceland. Close out Elvis Week 2016 with a special morning concert that celebrates the love songs of Elvis Presley. Hear some of your favorite love-inspired songs performed by Terry Mike Jeffrey, Jamie Kelley and Gladys & Maybelle - with special Elvis imagery on the screen throughout. Individual tickets are $30. George Klein's Elvis Memorial Service

12:00 Noon. Main Theater Building, University of Memphis. Free. Annual event hosted by George Klein, longtime friend of Elvis. Speakers will include friends and family of Elvis and celebrity guests. For more information, visit U of M Department of Communication at 901-678-2565.


Multiple Day Events

The Auction at Graceland Preview

July 28 - August 13. Elvis Presley Automobile Museum. View many of the artifacts included in the upcoming August 13 Auction at Graceland at the Elvis Presley Automobile Museum daily between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Elvis Bingo

August 8-10. 11:00 a.m.-Noon, 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m., 2:00-3:00 p.m., 3:30-4:30 p.m. Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel. Pick up tickets in the hotel lobby 30 minutes before each game (no children under 12 will be admitted). Free. Daily luncheon specials available.

Free Entertainment Tent at Graceland Crossing

August 10-16. Tent at Graceland Crossing. Continuous presentation of Elvis music performed live by various singers and bands, plus other activities. A schedule of the Elvis Week entertainment tent will be available at the Elvis Week information table upon arrival in Memphis.

Morning and Evening Walk Ups to Meditation Garden

Daily throughout the year, there is a special period of time for free admission walk up visits to the Meditation Garden at Graceland. Elvis Week morning walk ups will be from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. on August 10-16. Morning walk ups may not be available on August 16 due to the Candlelight Vigil. Elvis Week evening walk ups will be from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on August 10-14 and August 16. Evening walk-ups will not be available the night of August 15 due to the Candlelight Vigil. Guests must exit the mansion grounds before Graceland tours begin.

Children's Activities at Ticket Pavilion

August 10-16. 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Graceland Ticket Pavilion. Children can enjoy arts and crafts each day while learning about the King of Rock 'n' Roll. Free.
