Las Vegas Review Journal featured a story of Elvis's first appearance in Las Vegas in 1956. The story started on the front page: Elvis played to a room of an older crowd who did not know who Elvis was and he wasn't received very well . Colonel Tom salvaged the show the next week by holding an afternoon concert for teens, charging $1 for admission and a free coke. Colonel Tom was in the lobby selling Elvis photos for 25 cents. The show was a smash!
I was sitting watching a episode of Family Ties and saw 2 posters of Elvis in Alex's school radio station. One was a drawing of Elvis in multi concerts poses and the other was a younger picture with a newspaper headline reading Elvis Presley dies at age 42.
In the movie, Blade Runner 2049, there is a 3 minute scene in which Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling are fighting in the lounge of an old, abandoned hotel in Las Vegas. In the background Elvis is performing on stage with his band and the Sweet Inspirations. He dances and sings Suspicious Minds and Can't Help Falling In Love while wearing the white Concho jumpsuit.
My mom, Janet, was at dinner with a friend and she sent me this picture because she knows Elvis is my favorite. This was taken at a restaurant called Grady's that is located in Roseville, Michigan. My name is Rachelle and I'm from Warren, Michigan. I've been an Elvis fan since I was young, and it really stuck when I watched Lilo and Stitch and asked my mom if I've ever heard of this "Elvis guy". Since then, I've been all about Elvis and I'm always on the lookout for anything related We even named our dog Presley.

I submitted an idea for the Plugger comic strip, A Plugger makes at least one pilgrimage to Graceland in his lifetime...
It ran today.
I know there have been a lot of sightings of the famous photo of Elvis getting the polio vaccine, but the on-line magazine Politico ran a whole article about it, putting his public sevice in a full context then and now. In addition to the famous vaccine photo, it also includes a photo I'd never seen before of Elvis visiting with two young girls who were victims of the disease.
I was watching Turner Classic Movies on December 6: Eddie Muller, the host of Noir Alley, was talking about Steve Cochran, the star of "Tomorrow is Another Day" in his remarks before the showing of the movie. He described Steve Cochran as "the Elvis of noir"!
I am currently reading a 2007 novel by Jan Karon titled "Home to Holly Springs". The book is set in Mississippi. On page 217, a retired railroad conductor tells another character that Elvis used to travel on his train from time to time and that he once ate 4 BBQ sandwiches and left a $100 bill.
In the Holiday Preview TV Guide, the #1 What's Worth Watching pick is the documentary "Elvis: Are You Lonesome Tonight?" airing on Reelz on Nov 28. The article is accompanied by a half-page photo of Elvis standing beside one of his cars (a Rolls-Royce, I believe).
I was watching a movie called "A Christmas Wish" with Hilarie Buton. Her family all decorated gingerbread cookies. They have a completion. Her sister, in the movie chose Elvis😊
here is picture of her Elvis Cookie . She said she liked the traditional white jumpsuit.
Elvis sighting in a Women's World. I was flipping through this magazine and saw Elvis' name .

On Metv on the program Collector's Call it was about this person and his Lucy collection, but when the host was telling about Keta the memorabilia expert, the picture that was shown was of her looking at an Elvis Poster wearing his Peacock suit in her shop. It went by quick, but I can spot Elvis.
