Huntsville Public Library held an exhibit in 2015 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of his May 1975 sold out concerts at the Von Braun Center.
The exhibit is no longer there, but I discovered that the library still has a piece of that exhibit..... and it’s the door to Elvis’ Hotel Suite at the Huntsville Hilton....room #328...restored to its original turquoise color.

Watching the movie ‘Entrapment’ with Sean Connery & Catherine Zeta-Jones, Saturday night on HBO2. There was even the reference of “Elvis has left the building ...” Nothing like a Rembrandt being replaced with a Velvet Elvis! 😉

I experienced 5 Elvis sightings in one week beginning on January 25th. I was on the way to the airport in Mexico City where I saw a huge billboard with Elvis in his black leather suit, I think it was advertising the 2 day big screen release of the 68 special. It was so cool to see it in another country. Another sighting was a TV ad advertising a local Houston tenor group's concert and the ad mentioned they would be singing hits from "The King", among others. I read quick references about Elvis in two different books I read during that time. Finally, Gordon Ramsey did a episode of 24 Hours from Hell and Back, a restaurant rehab show, in Memphis. The intro had him talking about Memphis and how so many people came here "to see where Elvis lived", and they flashed a shot of Elvis' statue near Beale Street. It was a banner week for Elvis sightings!
My daughter, Téa, is in 8th grade and recently began a 3D printing program (called Tinkercad) in her STEM class and while viewing the tutorial where they were learning how to move around and view different things in the program, the 3D model in the program was a stage with a 3D Elvis on it. He was immediately recognizable to her because not only is Elvis Radio the only thing we listen to in the car (and love to play along with the Elvis Quiz Show and can't wait to visit and get our chance to play!) but she also shares a birthday with Elvis.
Just got back from a Baltic Sea cruise. One of our ports was Gdansk, Poland. While there it started to rain so we popped into a Hard Rock Café, low and behold, there was the king. I'm so glad it started to rain otherwise I would have missed the opportunity to get this photo.
