About the Elvis Scholarship
In 1995, with an initial endowment of $25,000, the EPCF created the Elvis Presley Endowed Scholarship Fund at the College of Communication & Fine Arts at the University of Memphis to assist students majoring in areas that relate to Elvis' own career: music, film, television, theater, etc.
Elvis fan clubs and individual Elvis fans and admirers from around the world continue to contribute to it and Graceland/EPE periodically stages events for its benefit. Donations increase the total endowment principal, which always remains in the scholarship's account the U of M maintains at a local bank. Scholarships are paid out from the interest generated by the account. Donations can be made through the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation.
