Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Presents New Elvis Exhibit Opening Thanksgiving Weekend

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises is thrilled to announce the opening of a new exhibition centered around Elvis Presley, one of the most important artists of the 20th century. Opening Friday, November 29, this exhibit will be located in the Ahmet Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall and provides a compelling look into Elvis’ Army career, the1968 television special and his appearances in Lake Tahoe.

More than 40 artifacts are on loan from Elvis Presley’s Graceland in Memphis representing different moments in Elvis’ career. Key items in the collection include a 1975 custom made SuperTrike motorcycle, a selection of his personal jewelry and a new film created especially for the exhibit by EPE, which showcases iconic performances in Elvis’ career.

Additional exhibit highlights include:

  • The “If I Can Dream” white suit from the "'68 Comeback Special"
  • A rehearsal schedule for Lake Tahoe performances in 1971
  • ID bracelet and several rings
  • Official U.S. Army induction portrait (wallet size) that was taken and issued upon his arrival for basic training in 1958
