Remembering Maxine Brown

Maxine Brown of the country group The Browns, died on Monday, January 21.

The Browns and Elvis were both signed to RCA and toured together in the 1950s.

The Browns were made up of siblings Maxine, Bonnie and Jim Ed, and the band enjoyed success with hits like "The Three Bells," "Scarlet Ribbons (For Her Hair)" and "I Take the Chance." The Browns were nominated for Grammy Awards and appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show" and "American Bandstand." The trio was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Maxine was the last surviving member of the band.
