Over 15 New Guest Appearances Added to Elvis Week 2018 Lineup

Graceland has just added more than 15 new guests to the Elvis Week 2018 lineup for August. The list includes first-time guests to Elvis Week, as well as an amazing ’68 Special Conversations line-up, past Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest winners, and a new afternoon concert for August 18!

  • Elvis tribute artists Cody Slaughter, Bill Cherry, Gordon Hendricks and Victor Trevino Jr. will celebrate the king at ELVIS: The Greatest Hits Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Show on Saturday, August 11. They'll perform some of Elvis’ greatest hits in a showcase featuring music from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

  • Elvis co-stars Millie Perkins and Ginny Tiu will join Darlene Love and Michael Dante at Conversations on Elvis: Co-Stars on Tuesday, August 14. Perkins co-starred with Elvis in the 1961 film “Wild in the Country,” and later played Gladys Presley in the 1990 “Elvis” TV series. Tiu co-starred with Elvis in the 1962 film “Girls!Girls!Girls!” along with her sister and brother.

  • Elvis’ Imperials will join former members of The Stamps Quartet for The Gospel Music of Elvis Presley Celebration Concert on Tuesday, August 14. Imperials Terry Blackwood, Darrell Toney and Lynn Royce Taylor and former Stamps’ Ed Hill, Donnie Sumner, Bill Baize and Larry Strickland will be on stage for a special night of gospel music.   

  • Imperials’ Terry Blackwood and Jimmy Murray will join Imperial Armond Morales, along with former Stamps’ Ed Hill, Donnie Sumner, Bill Baize and Larry Strickland, and Dr. Emily “Cissy Houston,” who was a member of The Sweet Inspirations” for Conversations on Elvis: Gospel on Wednesday, August 15. They will share their favorite stories and moments spent with Elvis both on and off stage.

  • In celebration of the 50th anniversary, ’68 Comeback Special director/producer Steve Binder, musical director Billy Goldenberg, writer Allan Blye and guitarist Mike Deasy will talk in-depth about Elvis’ landmark television special during Conversations on Elvis: ’68 Special on Thursday, August 16.

  • Elvis’ good friend TG Sheppard and Mark Kogan, who worked with Concerts West, will join the Conversation on Elvis: Elvis Connections event on Friday, August 17. Sheppard formed a close personal and professional relationship with Elvis while promoting records for RCA. Kogan was hired in 1975 by Jerry Weintraub and Concerts West, where he worked with everyone from Elvis to Frank Sinatra.

  • TG Sheppard and Kelly Lang in Concert has been added to the schedule for the afternoon of August 18. Join these two award-winning artists for one show, two hearts and over three decades of hits at the Guest House Theater. Tickets for this event are on sale now.
