Hear from the Musicians Behind The King During Elvis Week

Hosted by Andy Childs, the Elvis Week event In the Studio with Norbert Putnam and David Briggs will feature storytelling and live musical performances from two of the musicians who were there in the studio for some of Elvis' best recordings. In the Studio will be held Saturday, August 15, at the Elvis Week Main Stage, leading up to the annual Candlelight Vigil.

Norbert Putnam, nicknamed "Putt" by Elvis, got his start in the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section before moving to Nashville and playing on hits by artists such as Elvis and Roy Orbison.

David Briggs was part of the original rhythm section at Rick Hall's Fame Studio, and he later toured with Elvis in the 70s.

Norbert and David opened Quadrafonic Studio in 1970 and formed Danor Music Publishing. Norbert became Nashville's top pop/rock producer, and Quad became Nashville's number one independent studio.

Check out a video of David and Norbert sharing some great Elvis memories in the video below.

Be sure to snag your tickets to In the Studio with Norbert Putnam and David Briggs soon, as you won't want to miss this unique afternoon event featuring stories and live music - all about the king.
