Elvis fans got closer than ever to the king on Friday at Elvis Week.
The day kicked off with the Official Graceland Insiders Conference, which included everything from an impromptu concert by singer-songwriter Mac Davis, interviews with Elvis' back-up singers and a visit from Angie Marchese, Graceland's Director of Archives. Priscilla Presley, John Jackson and Roger Semon also discussed the new "If I Can Dream" album and played a few tunes from it.
Memphis Jones interviews Mac Davis and Elvis' back-up singers, Susan Pilkington, Mary Holladay Pederson and Ginger Holladay, in the video above.
Terry Mike Jeffrey and his band's energetic and passionate performance at the Elvis in Vegas Tribute Concert had fans dancing and cheering. The band performed many of the hits Elvis sang in Vegas, such as "In the Ghetto," "Polk Salad Annie," "Suspicious Minds" and "How Great Thou Art."
Tune in to this week's podcast to catch up with some Tupelo officials who were in Memphis to celebrate Elvis Week, and find out how Tupelo honors Elvis, too.
Later today, visit Elvis Presley's Graceland on Facebook for photos from Friday's events, and look out for full photo galleries next week on Graceland.com.
In honor of Terry Mike Jeffrey's powerful Vegas concert on Friday, our Elvis Week blogger, Alyssa Long, digs into Elvis' Vegas years. Learn more on the Graceland Blog.
