Elvis Week Recap - ETA Semifinals, Stamp Sales, More

Elvis Tribute Artists competed, fans met with one of Elvis' co-stars and the first Elvis Forever stamps were sold at the wall of Graceland on a full Tuesday at Elvis Week.

The day started with a meet 'n' greet with Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Semifinalists. The contestants gave it their all at the Semifinal Round on Tuesday Night at The Orpheum. See a list of the 10 Finalists.

Fans saw double the Elvis with a screening of Elvis' musical comedy "Kissin' Cousins," followed by a Q&A with the Elvis' co-star, Cynthia Pepper. She recalled meeting Elvis for the first time, and how he talked about how much he cared for his fans. Memphis Jones caught up with Cynthia after the event - you can watch the video above.

Elvis fans lined up the entire length of the Graceland wall to purchase the first Elvis Forever stamps at Graceland at midnight. Fans counted down to midnight and cheered as the first stamps were sold.

A full photo gallery will be on Graceland.com next week, but until then, check out a small photo gallery of Tuesday's events on Elvis Presley's Graceland Facebook page.

Alyssa Long, our Elvis Week blogger, visited the Graceland Archives with Angie Marchese, Graceland's Director of Archives. She learned a lot about Elvis, Graceland and the more than 1 million artifacts that are housed in the Graceland Archives. Read the blog to find out what she learned.
