Elvis Week Recap Day 6 - Conversations on Elvis

The first event on Monday, August 15, was Conversations on Elvis - and really, you could say that was the theme for the entire day.

Elvis' co-stars, Warren Berlinger of "Spinout," Celeste Yarnall of "Live a Little, Love a Little," and Christopher Riordan, who appeared in several Elvis movies and specials, discussed what it was like to share the screen with the King of Rock 'n' Roll at Conversations on Elvis.

That afternoon, Elvis' piano man, Glen D. Hardin, and musician Andy Childs, had an unforgettable afternoon as the pair discussed what Elvis was like on stage and in the studio, and they sang a few lovely Elvis tunes, too.

Monday night wrapped up with the annual Candlelight Vigil. The evening started off beautifully, with thousands of fans lining Elvis Presley Boulevard, and creating tributes to Elvis in the street. But then the rain set in. Some fans continued up the hill to Meditation Garden, while some opted to return today to pay their respects.

Our Candlelight Vigil Livestream had to be cut short due to the heavy rain, but we'll post a recap video soon.

Be sure to check out our Elvis Week blogger Jon Waterhouse's take on the evening at the Graceland Blog.
