Elvis Week Day 4 - TCB on the Weekend

Take the weekend off? Not at Elvis Week!

Saturday, August 13, was a busy - but fun - day at Elvis Week. The morning kicked off with the Elvis Presley 5k, as Elvis fans donned Elvis' famous sunglasses and Elvis-inspired outfits to run for a good cause. Morning events continued as fans lined up to make their room reservations for Elvis Week 2017 at The Guest House at Graceland.

That afternoon, the fans celebrated Elvis and the friendships they've forged by being Elvis fans at the Elvis Fan Reunion. They played trivia and games and shared their Elvis Week stories, and each of them filled out stickers that said how many years they've attended Elvis Week.

Bidders from around the world participated in The Auction at Graceland, and of course, Graceland was in the audience and won a very important document. Click here to find out more.

At the Orpheum in downtown Memphis, the sold-out Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Final Round took place, with Dwight Icenhower taking the crown. Dwight represents the Branson Elvis Festival. Check out his interview with Dean Z at the end of this story.

Back at the Elvis Week Main Stage, hundreds of Elvis fans danced the night away to their favorite Elvis songs at the Elvis Sock Hop. DJ Argo spun the tunes, helped fans celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and gave away prizes.

Elvis Week blogger Jon Waterhouse had a busy Saturday keeping up with all of the events. Check out his blog, "The Top 5 Coolest Things I Did Yesterday," on the Graceland Blog.

Photos from yesterday's events will continue to be added to the Elvis Week photo gallery.

Stay tuned for more recaps!
