ELVIS RADIO PRESENTS TERRY MIKE JEFFREY’S TOP TEN ELVIS LAS VEGAS CONCERTS!

Tuesday, March 31, 8 p.m. EST

In honor of Elvis being back in the building at the Westgate in Las Vegas, Elvis Radio presents Terry Mike Jeffrey’s Top 10 Elvis Las Vegas Concerts. Sixteen-year-old TMJ traveled to Vegas so he could meet Elvis back in the summer of 1969! Terry Mike has selected his Top Ten Las Vegas concert recordings, and Big Jim Sykes counts them down right up until the exhibition's grand opening on Thursday, April 23!  Tonight’s show, Number 10, is "From Hawaii to Las Vegas."

“Not really a 'live performance' disc, but, it was recorded on stage at the Las Vegas Hilton during rehearsals the day before opening night," Terry Mike said. "The quality is not very good, but to me, it's very cool because he's just done the 'Aloha From Hawaii' concert two weeks prior, and he's coming back to Vegas, putting his show together. This contains the only known version of 'Separate Ways' on stage with the orchestra, which he never ended up doing live, but they did rehearse it. For that reason alone, I had to include it here in my Top Ten list."

Argo’s April Fools Fun!

Wednesday, April 1, 8 a.m. EST

Wake up with a laugh! You’ll have fun when you hear this very rare 1974 album release, “Having Fun With Elvis On Stage," a spoken-word vinyl release that consisted solely of byplay and banter by Elvis between songs during live concerts. "Having Fun with Elvis on Stage" was the result of a ploy by Elvis' manager, Col.Tom Parker, to create an Elvis album consisting of content that his RCA Records could not claim rights to, thus allowing Parker to release it through his own label, Boxcar Records. "Having Fun with Elvis on Stage" was first distributed at Elvis concerts, but RCA would later package and distribute it. Elvis was not happy with what the Colonel did, and had the album release pulled from retail and from his concert merchandise.

ELVIS RADIO PRESENTS TERRY MIKE JEFFREY’S TOP TEN ELVIS LAS VEGAS CONCERTS!

Thursday, April 9, 8 p.m.

Tonight's show, Number 5, is "3000 South Paradise Road."

"I saw 38 different Elvis concerts, and all but five of them were in Vegas. This CD was recorded in August of '72, and that was the month and year that I saw him the most number of times in one trip (10 concerts, two per night for five nights). I have always thought that Elvis and his band and singers were at the absolute top of their game during 1972. Also saw him in Little Rock and Evansville, Indiana '72 (Evansville was two days after Madison Square Garden).  In August '72 at the Hilton, I heard, for the first time, several songs ('You Gave Me A Mountain,' 'What Now My Love'), so this was a treat. This CD also contains an entire CD of rehearsals, great bonus," Terry Mike said.
