A Texas Tribute to Elvis Comes to Dallas in March 2016

Elvis Fans across the globe, get ready for an amazing festival honoring the life, music and fans of Elvis Presley. On March 4-6, 2016, the inaugural Texas’ Tribute to Elvis festival will be held at Dallas, Texas, at the Legendary Southfork Ranch.

The festival will feature many great Elvis-themed shows including Friday’s "Long Live the King" to celebrate Elvis’ musical career. Saturday’s "Rockin across Texas” is a spectacular celebration with some of his greatest hits to concert classics. Sunday’s "Spirit of the King" is a wonderful showcase of Elvis’ gospel music, followed by "Elvis Country” a musical journey through Elvis’ Country classics.

Elvis hits from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s will be performed by some of the world’s best Elvis tribute artists, including

winners of the Elvis Presley Enterprises Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest - Cody Ray Slaughter, star of "Million Dollar Quartet" on Broadway and Bill Cherry, Ultimate ETA Contest winner in 2009.

Also scheduled to make appearances throughout the weekend are the legendary Blackwood Quartet and Elvis’

original backing singers, The Holladay Sisters. Backing all the headline shows is the amazing EAS Band.

The festival currently includes Texas’ only official preliminary heat of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Tribute artists from all over the world will compete to be crowned Texas’ Tribute to Elvis Champion 2016 and the winner will also qualify to enter the contest finals, which are held during Elvis Week in Memphis in August 2016.

The contest will be judged by our celebrity panel consisting of the Elvis’ friend and bodyguard, Sam Thompson; Elvis’ tour producer and friend, Charles Stone; Greg McDonald, Elvis friend and personal manager of legendary artist Ricky Nelson; and Ginger Holladay. In addition to judging the contest, our celebrity guests will be sharing memorable stories about Elvis Presley in our "Conversations on Elvis" series of on-stage interviews.

Special guest Linda Thompson will take part in Conversations on Elvis.

After the shows have finished, for our three day ticket holders, we have an all Elvis disco in the Lone star Atrium on Southfork until the early hours this is hosted by DJ Argo from Elvis Radio.

The full festival schedule, details of all showcase acts and box office are available on the official web site: texaselvisfestival.com.
