2016 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Semifinalists

Next week, twenty of the world's best Elvis tribute artists will battle to see who will be named the 2016 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist.


Our twenty Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest semifinalists are from all over the world, and they all love Elvis. They've won or placed in preliminary rounds from across the globe to compete in the Semifinal Round in Memphis on Thursday, August 11. Travis Powell

To Represent the Hard Rock Cafe's Last Chance Contest at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Travis, a native of  Shelby, North Carolina, was raised on Elvis and gospel. His interest in becoming an Elvis tribute artist started five years ago, when he saw it as a way to enjoy music and celebrate the reason he started singing in the first place. For Travis, to be recognized as one of the top guys in the industry is an amazing honor. He says he is truly blessed and looks forward to being on the stage and giving it his all. His favorite Elvis song is "My Way."


Oliver Steinhoff

To Represent the Collingwood Elvis Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Born and raised in Germany, Oliver's love for Elvis developed early - he was only 8 years old when he discovered Elvis' music. Oliver is thankful he can share Elvis' music, life and memory with his own son. Paying a heartfelt and respectful tribute to the world's greatest entertainer is the best experience of Oliver's life, and it is a lifelong dream to be included in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Oliver's favorite song is "Any Day Now."

To Represent Elvis Tampa Bay Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Cote lives in Ocala, Florida, and has been at Elvis tribute artist for 16 years. He started at the age of 3 when he saw the Elvis movie “Follow That Dream” and he's been hooked ever since. Cote says it is a dream come true for him to compete in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. His favorite Elvis song is “Hurt.” 


Marcus Jackson

To Represent Viva Surfers Paradise at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Marcus Jackson is from Melbourne, Australia and has been around the entertainment industry for the last 25 years. His inspiration to perform came from his father, as he was in a rock and roll band and grew up around music. Being a part of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest is an extremely proud achievement for Marcus. His favorite Elvis song is “Hurt.”


Garry J. Foley

To Represent Europe's Tribute to Elvis Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Garry J. Foley’s love for Elvis’ music came from playing his father’s records at a very young age. The very first record he ever purchased was Elvis’ “Don’t Be Cruel” and remains a favorite to this day. It was his love for Elvis' music that inspired him to become an Elvis tribute artist, leading him to perform all over the world. Being an Elvis tribute artist is a dream come true for Garry, and his favorite Elvis song is “Suspicious Minds.”

To Represent the Penticton Elvis Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Matt King has been performing his Elvis show and tribute for more than 23 years. The idea to perform an Elvis tribute began in Tenerife in 1991, when Matt won an Elvis sound-alike contest. He has performed for audiences all over the UK and Europe, and he has won many awards for his tribute. He has also appeared on several television shows.


Robert Washington

Robert Washington is from Auburn, Maine. He has been an Elvis fan since he was a small child and began his career performing his tribute to his hero in 1987. Since then, Robert has performed for Elvis fans all over the world. He has won many awards and has had the honor of performing with several of Elvis' original musicians on multiple tours. He is a class act and is honored to be recognized for his tribute to the greatest entertainer of all time.

Doug started out his career in the Air Force in annual contests and won eleven first place awards in four years. He says being a tribute artist means being a part of an elite group of performers who are recognized for bringing respect, dignity and the highest order of professionalism to the world of Elvis. His favorite Elvis song is "Burning Love."


Austin Irby

To Represent the Myrtle Beach Elvis Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Austin Irby, a native of Anderson, South Carolina, began his singing career in his family church at the age of 4. In addition to Austin’s deep gospel roots, Elvis’ music and 50’s style made a great impact on him as an artist. His love, admiration and respect for Elvis shines through in each performance. He enjoys keeping the music alive and paying tribute to whom he calls “The Greatest Entertainer to Ever Live.” He says it is a blessing and an honor to be a part of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. His favorite Elvis song is “Mean Woman Blues.”


Dwight Icenhower 

To Represent the Branson Elvis Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Dwight Icenhower began his career 18 years ago as a junior in high school performing in a high school musical. Since then, Dwight has traveled around the world with his tribute to Elvis Presley. He has been a fan of Elvis since he was young, when his mother introduced him to Elvis' music. He says being a tribute artist is a dream come true and to be recognized for his tribute is a real honor. His favorite Elvis song is "Are You Lonesome Tonight?"


Yukihiro Nishijima 

To Represent the Elvis Festival of Japan at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Yukihiro Nishijima is from Fukuoka, Japan. When he was three years old, his father encouraged him to listen to Elvis music. When he was older, he watched "That's The Way It Is," and it inspired him to become a singer and performer. His favorite Elvis song is "My Boy."


Al Joslin

To Represent the Elvis Presley Continentals Charity Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Al Joslin is from Pace, Florida, and is proud to represent the 37th Annual Elvis Presley Continentals Charity Festival. Al has been performing for over 10 years and was inspired after visiting Graceland for the very first time when he was 17 years old. Al considers it the highest privilege to give tribute to the greatest entertainer of all time. His favorite Elvis song is "The Girl of My Best Friend."


Diogo Light

Diogo Light, from Porto Alegre, Brazil, is proud to represent the 2016 Georgia Elvis Festival. From the time he was a small child listening to his father's Elvis records, he's been a fan. Victor Trevino Jr. is from Fort Worth, Texas. He has been performing in the arts for a number of years and has always loved music and American culture. There's simply nothing he would rather do than pay tribute to his hero. Jack Gatto is from Victoria, Australia. He started listening to Elvis because his father played Elvis music around the house. Since then, Jack has been inspired to entertain others. Jack believes it's important to keep his tribute respectful and entertaining. It is a dream come true to be considered one of the top Elvis Tribute Artists in the world. Jeffrey Krick Jr.

To Represent Ocean City Elvis Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Jeffrey Krick Jr. is an award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist who is proud to represent the Ocean City Elvis Festival. Jeffrey, 18, is from Leesport, Pennsylvania, and has been an Elvis fan and tribute performer since childhood. He followed in the footsteps of his tribute artist father, Jeff Krick Sr., and began performing at his father's shows. He's had the privilege of performing with the Stamps Quartet. He looks forward to entertaining Elvis fans worldwide. His favorite Elvis song is "If I Can Dream."

To Represent Indiana's Elvis Fantasy Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Tim is very honored and proud to be representing Indiana's Elvis Fantasy Festival as its Grand Champion. Tim grew up watching Elvis movies and concerts and became a huge Elvis fan at a young age because of the influence of his late father, Diamond Jim. He considers it an absolute honor and privilege to pay tribute to the greatest entertainer of all time, Elvis Presley. Tim has many favorite Elvis songs, but his all-time favorite is "How Great Thou Art."

Ryan Pelton is an international, award-winning Elvis tribute artist, actor and singer/songwriter. He was dared to enter a local Elvis contest by his mother, and though he'd never sang publicly before, Ryan won. In the following 15 years, Ryan has performed all over the world and loves being a live music entertainer. Ryan recently starred in the movie "The Identical," also starring Ray Liotta and Ashely Judd. He says it’s a blessing to be a part of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. His favorite Elvis song is “Pieces of My Life.”


Pat Dunn

To Represent Tweed Tribute to Elvis Festival at Semifinal Round in Memphis

Hailing from NYC, Patrick is no stranger to the stage. Having performed in his first Broadway show at the age of 12, it has lead him to paying tribute to Elvis Presley. He considers it a blessing to be in Memphis during Elvis Week and represent Tweed Elvis Festival, and it’s an honor to continue the legacy of Elvis Presley for fans. Patrick’s favorite Elvis song is “American Trilogy.”
