Elvis and Nixon Met 45 Years Ago Today

Forty-five years ago today, the King of Rock 'n' Roll met the President of the United States. Elvis was in Washington D.C. on December 21, 1970, and asked to meet President Richard Nixon. The two became fast friends and Elvis, who loved to collect police badges, convinced the President to give him a United States Department of Justice badge.
