The Zombies Invade Elvis Presley's Graceland...Again

On Monday, April 30, legendary English rock band The Zombies returned to Elvis Presley's Graceland after a brief tour by Elvis' father Vernon in 1965. Graceland and Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation Support Red Cross Efforts in Tupelo

Elvis’ hometown of Tupelo was hit by a tornado on April 28th with a small northern portion of the town receiving significant storm damage. The American Red Cross has set up a command post and shelter at the downtown Bancorp South Arena as they assist those impacted by the tornado. Consul General of Japan Presents Memphis and Graceland with Somei Yoshino Cherry Trees

In appreciation for the millions of dollars in relief following the east Japan earthquake, Motohiko Kato, Consul General of Japan in Nashville, along with a Japanese delegation, demonstrated their appreciation to Memphis by offering a gift of three Somei Yoshino Cherry Trees from Japan.
