The Top Reasons to Attend Elvis Week

Elvis Week 2015 is only about three months away... Are you ready?

Elvis Week is a weeklong celebration of everything Elvis here at Graceland in Memphis. It's an incredible week full of music, fun and, of course, Elvis. Whether you've been multiple times or this is your first time, you'll have an unforgettable experience at Elvis Week.

Why should you make the trek to Memphis for Elvis Week 2015? We're glad you asked.

The Best Elvis Week Hosts

Tom Brown returns to host several events at this year's Elvis Week! Check out his favorite Elvis Week memories in the video clip below.

It's All About Elvis

If Elvis is your everything, get your Elvis fix at Elvis Week.

Elvis Week is the place to meet fellow Elvis fans, play Elvis games, see Elvis movies, stock up on Elvis swag, attend Elvis-inspired concerts, tour Elvis' home and celebrate everything Elvis.

The life and legacy of the one and only King of Rock 'n' Roll can only truly be celebrated in Memphis at Graceland.

Special Elvis Guests

Elvis Week gives fans an often once-in-a-lifetime chance to hear from Elvis' friends, co-stars and fellow musicians.

This year's guests include Diane McBain, who dazzled on the big screen with Elvis in "Spinout." During Elvis Week, we'll screen the film and Diane will talk about making the movie with Elvis.

Producer and pianist Tony Brown, who shared the stage and recording studio with Elvis during the 1970s, will remember Elvis during the Fan Club Presidents' Event, and musicians David Briggs and Norbert Putnam will talk about recording with Elvis, too.

Additional special guests include Terry Mike Jeffrey, former members of JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet and more. Visit for a list of special guests. More will be announced soon!

Tour New Exhibits at Graceland

There's always something new to discover at Elvis Presley's Graceland.

Our two latest exhibits are "I Shot Elvis" and "Elvis: That's The Way It Is" at 45 Years. The photography exhibit, "I Shot Elvis," showcases iconic photos of Elvis and the photographers who shot them. The exhibit also features related artifacts, such as clothes worn in the photo. You can even take a selfie with Elvis at this exhibit!

The new VIP exhibit, "Elvis: That's The Way It Is" at 45 Years, celebrates the anniversary of the fan-favorite documentary. Jumpsuits, photos and more are included in this special exhibit.

New Events and Fan Favorites

Elvis Week is a great way to get a whole new perspective on Elvis. There are several new events that will provide fans with a new insight into their favorite musician.

Singer-songwriter Andy Childs will perform some of Elvis' greatest country hits at his Elvis Country concert. At Elvis 101, Dr. John Bakke and Michael Bertrand, who have written and given seminars on Elvis, will talk about Elvis' music and impact on society and pop culture. Musician and Elvis fan Terry Mike Jeffrey will salute Elvis' powerful Las Vegas performances with an Elvis in Vegas concert.

Elvis fans also love our Gospel Celebration, Conversations on Elvis, Elvis Dance Party and Graceland Insiders Event.

The World's Best Tribute Artists

There is only one place to see all of the world's best tribute artists, and that's at Elvis Week.

The semifinal and final rounds of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest take place during Elvis Week, and competitors come from all around the world, including the States, Canada, the UK and Japan. These guys put in a lot of time and energy into paying tribute to the king, and they put on quite a show.

Fans - Friends - Family

Elvis has a fan base like no other.

His fans range from toddlers to grandparents. They are from every race and background, and speak different languages. But they all have one thing in common: Elvis Presley.

Elvis Week is a fantastic time to meet other Elvis fans. For many, Elvis Week is like a family reunion, catching up with fellow fans you only see in Memphis.

Even if you've never attended an Elvis Week, you'll be welcomed with open arms and will go home having made new, lifelong friendships.

You Never Know Who You'll Run Into

Graceland is a busy place during Elvis Week. Look out in the crowd and you never know who you'll see - maybe a celebrity.

Famous folks drop in to tour Graceland regularly, and sometimes they make a stop during Elvis Week. Last year, actress Anna Kendrick and actor John Krasinski took a break from filming a movie in Mississippi to tour Graceland during Elvis Week.

Sounds and Food

You'll never be bored in Memphis.

While you're in town, take in the best that Memphis has to offer. Learn more about the city's musical history with tours at the Stax Museum of American Soul Music, the Rock 'n' Soul Museum and, of course, Sun Studio.

You can't visit Memphis without taking a walk down Beale Street, and the National Civil Rights Museum is not far from there.

Also downtown is our host hotel, The Peabody. Make sure to see the Peabody Duck March, which happens daily at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

There's also the Memphis Zoo, the Levitt Shell, Overton Square and many more places that are worth your time. And Memphis food is the best food - fill your belly up with delicious Memphis barbecue and soul food. Visit Marlowe's - just down the road from Graceland - and the Hard Rock Cafe on historic Beale Street.

And the number one reason to attend Elvis Week is...

Annual Candlelight Vigil

The annual Candlelight Vigil is the cornerstone event of Elvis Week each year. It is a chance to take a break from all the fun and excitement of the week and quietly reflect on Elvis' life. Fans from around the world all gather at the gates of Graceland - and each, one by one, walk up the driveway with their lit candle to the Meditation Garden in quiet remembrance of Elvis.

Photos can't truly capture it. Videos can't show it all. To truly experience this special moment, you have to be at Graceland on the evening of August 15, candle in hand.

If you haven't been to Elvis Week yet, 2015 is the year to come. If you are an Elvis Week alum, we can't wait to see you again this year.

Visit to keep up with the latest schedule, guests and more. Tickets go on sale for the general public on Monday, May 4.
