2023 semifinalists
Below are the Elvis tribute artists who will compete in the Semifinal Round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest during Elvis Week 2023 in Memphis. We will update this list as winners are confirmed at each preliminary round.
COTE DEONATH
Representing the First Chance Ultimate ETA Contest
Cote Deonath is a Florida native who discovered Elvis at the age of 2 when his grandmother showed him “Follow That Dream” for the first time. Some of Cote’s hobbies include graphic designing, producing festivals and fitness. The one word he uses to describe Elvis is “electric,” and his favorite Elvis song lyric is “There must be lights burning brighter somewhere.” His favorite Elvis song is “How Great Thou Art.”
Oliver Steinhoff
Representing the Tweed Tribute to Elvis Festival
Born and raised in Germany, Oliver's love for Elvis developed early - he was only eight years old when he discovered Elvis' music. Oliver is thankful he can share Elvis' music, life and memory with his own son. Paying a heartfelt and respectful tribute to the world's greatest entertainer is the best experience of Oliver's life, and it is a lifelong dream to be included in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. His favorite Elvis song is Any Day Now.
JIMMY HOLMES
Representing the Portage Elvis FANtasy Fest
Jimmy Homes, from DeMotte, Indiana, was introduced to Elvis by his father at an early age. Jimmy loves playing the guitar, fishing and even works part-time in a family owned business. His favorite Elvis song is “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and his favorite Elvis song lyric is “dreams can make the sun feel much brighter.”
NICK PERKINS
Representing the Smoky Mountain Elvis Festival Nick Perkins is a Louisiana native who grew up listening to Elvis with his mother and grandmother. Nick enjoys traveling, playing guitar, and cooking when he isn't performing. Nick also enjoys meeting new people and credits his time as a tribute artist for bringing him his lifelong friends.
JOHNNY LEE
Representing the Parkes Elvis Festival
Johnny Lee Memphis, hailing from Scotland, discovered Elvis by listening to his music and watching his movies with his aunt. His favorite Elvis song to perform is Patch It Up, but his overall favorite song of the king’s is It’s Only Love. When he isn’t performing, Johnny Lee enjoys martial arts and watching box sets.
