In this special edition of the Graceland podcast, Elvis Presley Enterprises' Kevin Kern and Elvis Radio's Big Jim sit down for an exclusive interview with Senior Vice-President of Warner Bros. Marketing George Feltenstein to talk about the upcoming release of "Elvis: That's The Way It Is" Deluxe Edition. Feltenstein describes the remastering of this set as a long labor of love which finally brings this incredible Elvis footage in the best video quality to date. The result of a historic partnership between Sony Music and Warner Brothers Home Video, the deluxe set combines the video and audio assets of "Elvis: That’s The Way It Is" with unique and previously unreleased material. The highly-collectible box set marks the first time the 1970 documentary and album have been available in a single package, with bonuses including unreleased material, remixed and remastered audio and a new 80-page book detailing the entire event with facts, songwriter and musician interviews, and photos in a deluxe 8CD/2DVD box set. The new deluxe edition combination set is now available for pre-order on Amazon.com and will be released on August 5, 2014.

Phillips played the song on repeat for the remaining two hours of his show, while interviewing the shy 19-year-old Elvis. Fans can listen to the studio's founder/producer Chips Moman talk about what it was like inside the studio when Elvis recorded hits such as "Suspicious Minds" and "In The Ghetto." Moman also talks about the many musical greats who recorded in this studio and how they set the tone for Elvis' return to Memphis to record. Fans can also hear rare outtakes from Elvis recording session at the studio. A staple of Memphis music history, the studio was located on 827 Thomas Street. American Sound produced over 100 hit songs from artists such as Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Neil Diamond, Dusty Springfield, B.J. Thomas, The Box Tops and many other music legends. The American Sound Studio house band The Memphis Boys joined us for a sold out concert during Elvis Week 2012 and Elvis fans can now watch this performance by subscribing to our YouTube Channel.
